Treatment for Carpel Tunnel Syndrome
What is carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS)? It is a painful disorder
involving the wrist and the hand. What exactly makes up the carpal
tunnel? It is a narrow tunnel that is formed by the tissues and bones
of your wrist. This provides protection for your median nerve. The
median nerve is what gives you feeling in all of your fingers except
your pinky finger.
When you repeatedly move your fingers in the same pattern for hours on
end, the tendons that connect your finger muscles to your wrist bones
get irritated and inflamed. In turn, the ligaments that connect your
wrist bones swell. The swollen tissues make for very tight
accommodations inside the carpal tunnel, the channel deep inside your
wrist where your finger tendons and wrist ligaments come together.
Treatment:
1. Massage can be very valuable for carpal tunnel symptom relief but
every massage therapist is different. We have different personalities,
outlooks, levels of confidence, training, skill levels and beliefs.
Here are some questions that you can ask your potential massage
therapist to determine whether you might like to work with him or her.
See whether their answers make sense to you.
2. Creating Muscle Balance: Studies have shown that most people, even
those with moderate to severe carpal tunnel, can greatly reduce or
completely relieve their symptoms by performing exercises that create
balance within their hand, wrist and forearm. Clinical research has
proven that the overuse of the flexor muscles that close the hand, and
under use of the extensor muscles, which open the hand, cause the hand
to collapse in on itself, squeezing the carpal tunnel, restricting
space and initiating the cycle of pain, numbing and weakness.
3. Acupuncture detox carpal tunnel syndrome so it is very essential for
treating CTS. It restores normal nerve functions and provides long-term
relief from pain and irritation associated with CTS. The acupuncturist
practitioners insert needles on those points along the meridians where
“qi” or energy gets blocked. For treating CTS, the insertions are
mainly done in the meridians situated along the liver, kidney and gall
bladder. These points are stimulated by traditional needle insertions,
and heat/ pressure applications. Once the stored energy starts getting
distributed, CTS gets cured faster.
4. Cut out caffeine. Steer clear of caffeinated foods and beverages
such as chocolate, cola, tea, and coffee. Caffeine constricts blood
vessels, which reduces blood flow to the hands and aggravates CTS.
5. Some advance cases of carpal tunnel syndrome may require surgery.
This surgery is done almost completely on an outpatient basis and is
frequently performed without the patient having to be made unconscious.
Recovery from this kind of surgery is frequently quick and with no
complications.
6. Give your hands and wrists frequent breaks. Alternate tasks when
possible. If you use equipment that vibrates or that requires you to
exert a great amount of force, taking breaks is even more important.
7. If you've been looking in vain for a cure for your carpal tunnel
syndrome, you can start treating yourself naturally and effectively
today and start living a life free of the discomfort and pain of this
disorder.

Treatment for Burning Tongue
About the only time, that most of us have heard about burning tongue
is when we ate or drank something too hot. There is actually a common
condition that is called burning tongue. When one looks at the tongue,
there are no visible signs that there is anything wrong but if the
burning is restricted to the tongue only then its burning tongue
syndrome and not burning mouth, which can occur as well.
For temporary relief from the symptoms chew a sugar free gum or suck
a piece of ice. Use baking soda instead of commercial tooth paste to
brush your teeth.
The best home remedy for burning tongue is taking the decoction made
up with Babool (an Ayurvedic herb) which will not only make you feel
relieve from the symptoms of burning but it has also properties of
reducing the inflammation.
Avoiding foods that contain allergens that may irritate the tissues
of your mouth may help. Tongue thrusting and teeth grinding (bruxism)
can be helped with mouth guards, medications and relaxation techniques.
There are many other tips is helpful this condition. Brush your
teeth/dentures with baking soda and water. Avoid alcohol and tobacco
products. Avoid irritating substances like hot, spicy foods;
mouthwashes that contain alcohol; and products high in acid, like
citrus fruits and juices.Eat more green leafy vegetables to help the
body to eliminate toxins from the body which will cleanse out and cool
the stomach.
Add iron rich food, such as broccoli, spinach and parsley, to your
diet. They will help in treating burning tongue, by aiding the
production of new red blood cells, replacing the damaged ones.
Lavender oil will act as an antiseptic and will give fast relief
from the pain. Apply lavender oil in the mouth and also on the parts
that are paining. Lavender oil helps in proper blood circulation and
also prevents the growth of microbes in mouth.
Experts recommend that drinking plenty of water can help in
preventing dry mouth. Water can help in keeping the entire body
hydrated including your mouth, thereby treating burning tongue.
Topical preparations may also be incorporated into your cold sore in
tongue treatment and cures. These useful medications include topical
benzyl alcohol and lidocaine, both of which are effective in
alleviating symptoms. In addition, the use of antiviral drugs may
likewise cut down the duration of the sores and dwindle the pain
associated with the outbreak. Nevertheless, if you suffer chronic
recurrence of cold sores, it would be best to consult your doctor about
it.
If the condition persists, however it would be well worth having a
medical consultation to make sure that there are not any underlying
factors causing this that needs more medical attention. Nutritional
deficiencies can be a cause. Being anemic and even oral cancer could be
a cause so therefore it is important to rule out all the medical
problems that might be related to the condition. Keeping your body well
hydrated will help as well.

Treatment for Bed Wetting
Sometimes it is tough to tell who is hurt more by bed wetting: the
little boy or the concerned parents who can't believe their son has not
yet mastered his bladder. Most known key is simply helping the kid
learn how to control the bladder. Here are some simple tips.
Bedwetting is involuntary urination while asleep after the age at
which bladder control would normally be anticipated. The medical term
for this condition is "nocturnal enuresis." Primary nocturnal enuresis
(PNE) is when a child has not yet stayed dry on a regular basis.
Secondary nocturnal enuresis (SNE) is when a child or adult begins
wetting again after having stayed dry.
Treatment:
1. Reduce any stress that might be causing problem to your child.
Though some stress, such as change in life situations, is inescapable,
you can reduce the stress caused by the problem by not making a child
feel overly embarrassed or guilty. It may be hard, but try to be
realistic about the situation and don't punish your child for
bedwetting--it's unlikely that it is within her/his control.
2. Controlling liquids that fizzes. whether it has caffeine or not
it helps. When the kid drink soda, within a few minutes they have to go
to the bathroom. Some children also stop wetting after their evening
glass of milk has been removed from the menu.
3. Do not spank for scold a child for bed-wetting. This only
complicates the problem. Instead, give rewards for NOT wetting the bed.
4. In regard to physical treatment, the child should be placed on an
all-fruit diet for few days. If possible, he should be given warm water
enema daily during this period to cleanse the bowels. He should also be
given cold sitz bath daily. The procedure is to fill an ordinary bath
tub with cold water to a depth of four inches or so. The child should
sit in it in such a way so that his feet and sexual organs are immersed
for the most part in water.
5. Bedwetting diapers are not just for infants and babies. They come
in sizes all the way up to adult so that any one with a bed wetting
problem can feel secure that he/she will not wake up to wet sheets in
the morning.
6. Lifting is a technique where you wake up the child a few hours
after they go to bed and having them go to the bathroom. There is
currently debate whether or not this is a bed wetting solution.
Although it will increase the number of dry nights a child has, they
aren't learning to wake and recognize when there bladder is full.
7. Medicinal extracts of the herb Equisetum is popularly used in
traditional Chinese medicine as homeopathic treatment for bed wetting.
Equisetum (6cH) is purported to naturally ease the bladders, restore
healthy functioning and relieve nocturnal enuresis within a span of few
weeks while relieving anxious behaviors in children on the sidelines.

Treatment for Backache Problem
Backache may be due to many reasons. Disorders, which cause it,
should be tackled first. Gout, constipation, a wrong posture and
menstrual disorders of women can cause backache. If the pain persists
even after these maladies have been cured, hot fomentation and
massaging the affected part can help because in that case the ache may
be due to accumulation of excess blood in the lumber region. Hot
fomentation and massage will dispel the blood and give relief.
Back pain can range from a dull or constant ache to a sudden and
sharp pain. Acute back pain comes on suddenly and usually lasts from a
few days to a few weeks. If the back pain lasts for more than three
months, it is called chronic.
Treatment:
1. Use of garlic. Two or three cloves should be taken every morning
to get results. An oil prepared from garlic and rubbed on the back will
give great relief.
2. Apply ice as necessary. In one study, two-thirds of people with
back pain reported significant relief after using an ice pack. "Wrap
some ice cubes or an ice pack in a towel and lay it over the sore area
for 20 minutes," advises Anne Simons, M.D. "Remove the ice for 10
minutes, then repeat." Continue until your pain subsides.
3. Exercise is also among common back pain home remedies. Exercise
plays a very important role in cure and maintaining of a healthy back.
At the time of backache, start by doing light exercises and as you feel
better, add some more back exercises to your regime.
4. Massage is also an effective form of back pain relief, which is
used to relax the muscles as well as to relieve pain. You may wish to
engage the help of your family member, but he does not have to be a
trained massager to give a smoothing massage. He simply needs to have
sensitive hands and to be willing and relatively free of tension. It is
also important that the person, who is being massaged, is lying in a
comfortable position.
5. Herbal remedies for backache-Ashwagandha is a Asian plant from a
potato family and this root is used to treat rheumatism, high blood
pressure, immune dysfunctions, erection problems and it is also
valuable to ease inflammation. As because of the reasons mentioned
above this root is called Indian ginseng.
6. Ashwagandha is a Asian plant from a potato family and this root
is used to treat rheumatism, high blood pressure, immune dysfunctions,
erection problems and it is also valuable to ease inflammation.
7. Some of the naturopaths suggest that lemon is useful as home
remedy for backache. The juice of one lemon mixed with common salt and
given to the patent twice a day for about one month may give great
relief from backache.
8. Since backache is a condition caused due to vata vitiation, any
food that can aggravate the vata further must not be taken. Sour and
fried foods must be totally avoided. Even pulses must be eliminated
from the diet. Rice must be reduced; rather food grains such as wheat,
millet and sorghum are better.

Acne Scars and its Treatment
cne is nothing but a common disease of the skin which is usually
associated with lots of pimples on your face. Not only on the face but
there are several pimples on the chest as well as on the back of the
body.
Acne can occur due to several reasons. Acne usually occurs due to
the clogging of the oil in the pores of our skin. The other reasons for
the occurrence of the skin disease are the presence of a large number
of dead skin cells which may or may not contain the bacterial
infections.
Treatment:
1. Dermabrasion is one of the acne scar treatment methods. It is
used to minimize acne scars and other minor skin irregularities. It
involves removing the top layers of the skin using an electrical
machine. Eventually, your skin will heal and appear smoother.
2. Clean your face, and then apply honey where there is scarring.
Wait for 10 minutes before rinsing it off with water. Honey clears
pores and at the same time, smooths the wrinkling of skin caused by
scarring.
3. Sandal wood assists in skin regeneration. When sandal wood is
kept on these pores overnight and washed the next day morning, there is
a significance improvement in the scars in the face.
4. It cannot be said enough. “Your skin needs water.” Especially
when you want to promote the type of skin repair needed to heal acne
scarring. Your skin needs water to keep the skin plump, to remove
toxins, and the build new skin cells.
5. Use the oil of Vitamin E capsule for acne scar treatment. It
doesn't matter if you purchase the cheapest Vitamin E capsule in the
market. Try to make a small hole where the oil would easily drip. Rub
the Vitamin E oil in the affected area at least twice a day. You may
also orally take the capsule along with Vitamin C.
6. It cannot be said enough. “Your skin needs water.” Especially
when you want to promote the type of skin repair needed to heal acne
scarring. Your skin needs water to keep the skin plump, to remove
toxins, and the build new skin cells. Drink at least 80 ounces of
filtered water a day to give your skin the quality and quantity of
water it needs to reveal healthier, fresher skin.
7. Chemical peels are used to remove top layers of skin over the
scar. This is like using an exfoliating scrub but more aggressive. The
healing time is much quicker than laser resurfacing or dermabrasion, a
burning sensation may be felt for a day or two.
8. Icing is a very short term method that provides quick dimming of
the red spot and scars by contracting the pores on your face. Get some
ice cubes and put them in a paper towel or those kind of small
transparent plastic bags that hold sandwiches, then put it on your face
for a few minutes, take it off for about 20 seconds and repeat for a
few times or as desired.

Vaginitis and its Treatment
Bacterial Vaginitis (AKA Bacterial Vaginosis), is an vaginal
bacterial infection that nearly 65 percent of women in the world have
suffered from each year. The infection has several distinct symptoms,
itchiness, burning, thin-milky discharge and a foul fish-like odor. The
symptoms are intensified during and after sexual intercourse. It has
been known to surface when women introduce certain changes to their
daily habits, and this can offset the harmony (pH levels and bacteria
levels) inside the vagina.
Treatment:
1. Treatment of vaginitis is your sole way out when all the above
had not been looked after and you have failed in forestalling
vaginitis. But, the issue is which treatment you should go for because
different types of vaginitis need different treatment. One from yeast
and one from bacteria can't have the same treatment.
2. Take Supplements - Any of the vitamins, goldenseal, garlic and
Femanol. Femanol is a natural supplement used to cure feminine odors
(one of the unpleasant side effects of bv). There also lactobacilli
capsules you can take to help increase the good bacteria counts inside
your vagina. This way you can naturally fight off the infection.
3. Rose Water and Sandalwood Oil - Make a mixture of this, chill it
and apply it directly to your vagina with a soft cloth. The sandalwood
oil is a natural antimicrobial and the rose-water is an herbal perfume.
You can pick these up online for relatively cheap prices. Just make
sure to only put the solution, and not just one of each. Sandalwood oil
is very strong and HAS to be diluted. It should never be applying to
the skin by itself. As long as you mix the two you will be fine.
4. The cure that is more than just a vaginitis treatment is to
change your diet, add in vitamins and supplements, and do whatever you
can to help your body become immune to BV. There are many herbs you can
take that promote vaginal health and they will all help you get a
stronger immunity to BV.
5. Recurrent yeast infections are sometimes treated with oral
fluconazole (Diflucan) and itraconazole Sporanox), or clotrimazole
(Mycelex, Gyne-Lotrimin, Femcare) for 6 months.
6. Unsweetened yogurt is highly recommended as it contains
lactobacillus acidophilus or a bacterium that fights off yeast
outbreaks. Yogurt can be directly applied to the swollen area as a
topical treatment or used as a douche solution when it is mixed with
water.
7. Dip a tampon in plain yogurt and insert it into your vagina.
Repeat this several times a day. The ingredients in the yogurt have the
ability to restore the natural balance of the vagina. Another home
remedy that has been proven to provide amazing results is garlic.
Inserting a clove of garlic into the vagina can knock out a yeast
infection in no time.
8. The path to a successful bacterial vaginitis treatment begins
with learning how to get your vagina's flora or "ecosystem" back into
the natural swing of things. This can be easily done by reducing the
symptoms with natural methods and remedies you can do from home.

Toothache is an extremely troublesome problem, which interferes
drastically with the normal activities of the person. Sometimes the
pain in the teeth gets to be so excruciating that the person may feel
that the entire tooth be uprooted from the gums. However, there are
many ways in Ayurveda to prevent and treat toothaches.
Nearly everyone had been in a situation needing a home remedies for
toothache. That's why I made this pretty collection of well proved home
remedies for toothache. I summarized all the well and lesser known old
and new natural remedies for tooth pain.
Treatment:
1. Cures for the causes of toothaches are within the practice of
dentistry or oral surgery. However, in emergency, immediate and
temporary relief from the pain and discomfort of a toothache - until
the affected and suffering individual can obtain professional dental
attention - a home remedy for toothache must be sought.
2. Onion can also provide relief from a toothache, as a home remedy
for toothache. The bactericidal properties of an onion can aid in
alleviating discomfort, by placing a piece of the vegetable upon the
affected tooth or gum. Another tip, where onion is concerned, is to
chew and consume a raw onion each day, as another home remedy for
toothache prevention, again, based upon its bactericidal properties.
3. Steam treatment should be taken in case of swollen or bleeding
gums if nothing else helps. Keep a vessel filled with water on heat and
cover it with a lid with a small opening. When the steam starts
escaping, expose your gums to its action. Intersperse the steam with
rinsing your mouth with cold water. Apply fresh lime juice mixed with
coconut or mustard oil after steaming it at night and the glow will be
far better than the one given by the any much-advertisement cream or
face lotion.
4. A method that is probably the easiest one you can possibly do is
to mix a small amount of table salt with some warm water, one teaspoon
of salt with a small glass of water would be enough, then just swig it
around your mouth for around thirty seconds.
5. A pinch of pepper powder mixed with a quarter teaspoon of regular
table salt can be mixed together and used in conjunction with your
toothpaste to help alleviate toothache. Leave out the salt and mix the
pepper powder with clove oil and apply it directly to the toothache for
instant relief.
6. Whiskey and Brandy: Whiskey and brandy are great for toothache.
Soak a cotton ball or cotton wool with the alcohol or brandy and apply
it directly onto the tooth. This is not advisable for children.
7. You may be able to avoid the pain of toothache all together by
keeping your teeth and gums clean and healthy. Try to avoid cavities by
reducing the intake of sugary foods and drinks. Make them as an
occasional treat and at meal times only. Brush your teeth and floss
regularly.

Ringworm and its Treatment
Ringworm is an infectious fungus disease that can affect any body
part including the feet, scalp, and nails. Contrary to what the name
might suggest, ringworms have nothing to do with a worm under your
skin. Ringworm is named so because it forms a red ring on the infected
person's skin. It can be transmitted by coming in direct contact with
an infected person or pet.
Ringworm is a fungal infection. It is contagious and appears on the
skin with spots around the edges, red rings and scaling. It is easy to
get ringworm, but how to get rid of ringworm is the hardest to do.
Treatment:
1. Clean it with soap. Some people say that Selsun Blue, the shampoo
for dandruff may be used to clean the ringworm well. It will help clean
and reduce the spread of fungus.
2. The seeds of butea are effective in treating several skin
problems including ringworm and eczema. A poultice of the leaves is
prepared and applied on the affected regions.
3. Ringworm can be avoided if you keep your skin dry and healthy. Do
not come in direct physical touch of people or animals suffering fungal
skin infections. You can keep the causes of ringworm at bay by
regularly airing your locker and keeping your skin covered from
constant dampness. Still, if you are infected from some unknown source,
you can try some ringworm home remedies and regularly wash the articles
of your daily use.
4. All you need to do is purchase some anti-fungal cream at your
local pharmacy and apply it to the infected area. Most home treatment
for ringworm creams are available without prescription. Make sure you
wash the infected area thoroughly and remove any flaky skin. After that
just dry the infected part and apply the home treatment for ringworm
ointment. You will start to see results in a couple of days. Most of
these creams will remove the infection in approximately 4 weeks.
5. Since creams may not be applied to affected area such as toenails
or scalp, oral medication along with ointments developed especially for
these body parts may be prescribed. Scalp ringworms are major cause of
hair loss and require aggressive treatment.
6. The recommended oral medications for treating ringworm are
Terbinafine (Lamisil) and Itraconazol (Sporanox). About 250 mg of
Terbinafine should be used or about 200 mg of Itraconazol should be
used to treat ringworm. Another oral medication which can be used is
Fluconazole (Diflucan).
7. Miconazole, an antifungal agent, besides controlling the growth
of the fungi has some antibacterial properties also. It has very
minimal side effects. Micatin, miconazole nitrate cures athlete's foot
and jock itch and relieves itching, scaling, burning and discomfort.
8. In some cases, the use of tea tree oil has been preferred to the
use of oral medications for treatment of ringworm. There are certain
demerits of oral antifungal medications, which the use of tea tree oil
takes care of.

Prostate Gland and its Treatment
The prostate gland is an exocrine organ of the male reproductive
system--the corresponding organ for females being the Skene's gland.
The prostate gland's primary function involves the storage and
secretion of seminal fluid. The organ likewise plays a supportive role
in urination.
Most men who don't know how to maintain prostate health will at some
stage have prostate problems. These can range from mild and manageable
to unbearable, even fatal. Certainly a lot of suffering and distress
can be avoided by learning how to take care of this important gland.
This article will highlight some common prostate problems and explain
how to improve and maintain the health of the prostate.
Treatment:
1. Antibiotics are typically prescribed for acute prostatitis, which
is triggered by bacterial infections. On the other hand,
physico-therapies are administered as treatment for other types of
prostatitis.
2. Hog weed is known in Ayurveda as punarnava. It is prescribed in
case of all urinary problems that are caused due to prostate ailments.
3. Gokshura or small caltrop, is an indigenous Indian herb which is
commonly used in treatment of urinary complications caused due to
prostate problems. Its fruit is effective in such cases. It is ground
roughly and boiled in two cups of water till it is reduced to half the
amount. This is drunk along with sugar.
4. Radical prostatectomy is surgery that removes the whole gland and
the lymph nodes (which are part of the lymph system in a human) which
are located next to it. This is a surgery that's done under a general
anesthesia, and there's a hospital stay involved, along with the use of
a catheter to help with urination for about 3 weeks. Both of these
therapies have high success rates, and also a few downsides (especially
the slight chance of impotence with both procedures), so make sure you
consult with your physician.Prostate cancer doesn't have to be a killer.
5. The salep orchid is known as shalaba mishri in Ayurveda. It is
prescribed in case of prostate problems brought on by vata vitiation.
6. Stinging nettle roots are yet another natural remedy for BPH, and
clinical studies have shown these to be effective in relieving prostate
enlargement symptoms, although it does not appear to actually reduce
gland swelling.
7. Keeping to a balanced diets and a habitual exercise program
coupled with an annual screening is essential to ward off any problems
that might arise from your prostate gland. A fitter body is able to
better able to fight any diseases that occur from the prostate and your
body in general.
8. Buchu: It's one of the best remedies for urinary organs. It's
very soothing and excellent for when there is pain while urinating or
stoppage of the urine. When taken warm it helps reduce swelling of the
prostate gland and soothes irritation of the lining membrane of the
urethra.
9. Herbal treatments can be a part of a lifestyle change to alleviate urinary symptoms. Saw palmetto
If the gland is overly large, external beam radiotherapy may be used to reduce its size.
